HEY! I'M EMMA...

I call Sydney by the beach home, and my happy place. I love catching up with friends over good food and sneaking in a gym session whenever I can. Life is full as a mum to an energetic 12-year-old son. Between school runs, soccer games and fishing adventures, there's never a dull moment.

Over the years, I've worked across a range of industries-from teaching Japanese in high schools here and English in Japan, to retail, counselling and coaching. Each chapter brought new lessons. But as I moved through midlife, I felt a deeper shift. I craved more freedom, flexibility and purpose-not just professionally, but personally too.

That inner shift sparked a bold move. I launched my own online business in the Personal Development space-an area I've always felt deeply connected to. Now, I get to do meaningful work that aligns with who I am, while creating a life that allows me to show up fully as a mum and as me.

THE PROBLEM THAT LED ME HERE: After years of working across different organisations —and achieving what many would call success—I found myself hitting that all-too-familiar wall: a capped income, the daily grind, and just four weeks of annual leave to squeeze life into.

I started to feel restless and craving more freedom and meaning; more space to be present for my son without sacrificing my own ambitions.

I knew I didn’t want to fall back into familiar roles like retail or admin just for flexibility. I’d done that before, and it felt like a step backward.

I'd even lived and worked overseas, but with my son heading into high school, long-term travel wasn’t an option anymore.

So, I started exploring new possibilities—something different, something aligned—and that search is what ultimately led me here.

WHEN ‘PLAYING IT SAFE’ WASN’T ENOUGH: Before this, I tried setting up my own contracting business-it seemed like the logical next step.

But honestly, it didn’t feel like the shift I was looking for.

I wanted something more-something that challenged me, felt purposeful and gave me room to grow without feeling isolated. I kept thinking, if not now, then when?

I wanted independence as well as connection and a community that inspired me.

That’s when I knew I had to find something that gave me more control, more connection, and a better lifestyle all round.

THE SHIFT IN PERSPECTIVE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING: Personal growth has been a steady thread through different roles and seasons of my life, but something shifted midlife. I began to question more what success truly meant and realised it was no longer about ticking boxes. It was about creating a life that felt meaningful, flexible and fully aligned.

I’ve always carried a deep belief that we are more than we realise-and for me, midlife became the catalyst for turning that belief into action. I didn't just want change, I wanted expansion, greater purpose and freedom.

That empowered shift in mindset opened the door to something completely new-and it's made all the difference.
